This little boat is pretty quick and responsive, with the a righting feature is a big help. It may be a bit fast for a nine year old, but with some close supervision I think this would be great speed boat to start with.

These boats use 2.4GHz radios, which allows multiple boats to be run at the same time without interfering with each other.
