The motor is designed to operate with an Electronic Speed Control powered by a 2S (7.4V) LiPo battery.
This motor is used in several of our Ultra Micro airplanes like the UMX J-3 Cub, P-47, SBach, Icon A5. SPMAS6410NBL is a combined Receiver/ESC that is the best fit, but it is programmed with some gyro stabilization and you would need to ensure your airplane configuration and servos travel in the proper direction so the gyros work to stabilize the plane and not the opposite, otherwise a crash will occur.
A brushless motor electronic speed control (ESC) is required. The motor will not operate on DC current directly from a power supply.
