Overview
The E-flite® Carbon-Z® T-28 2.0m is a BIG model that makes it easy to enjoy a large-scale warbird flying experience unlike any other. Exclusive Carbon-Z construction allows an airplane as large as this to be rigid like a conventional all-wood airframe, yet lightweight so it can have friendly flying characteristics. Plus, the durability of the EPO material means it can easily handle any bumps along the way while also being easy to repair if needed. Numerous scale details include a cockpit with a simulated instrument panel and pilot figure, a cowl fitted with a replica radial engine, plus many other surface details. It's also equipped with functional flaps and operational retracts—which are factory-installed so you can be flying in almost no time. Simply install a charged 6S 3200–7000mAh battery, bind the receiver to a compatible full-range 6–7+ channel Spektrum® transmitter, complete some easy final assembly and fly!

Bind-N-Fly Completion Level Advantage
Already own a Spektrum™ transmitter? Bind-N-Fly (BNF) aircraft make getting into the air quickly and with the best control experience possible easier than ever. They come out of the box with the power system, servos and a Spektrum 2.4GHz receiver installed so all you need to do is bind the receiver to a compatible transmitter, finish any final assembly, and fly!
This Bind-N-Fly Basic model is equipped with a Spektrum 2.4GHz DSMX® receiver featuring AS3X (Artificial Stabilization–3–aXis) technology that works behind the scenes to smooth out the effects of wind and turbulence. The result is a heightened sense of stability and precision that makes you feel like you're flying a much larger, expertly tuned aircraft.
If this is your first model of its type, or you want an extra margin of safety while familiarizing yourself with the airplane, you can enable the optional-use SAFE® Select flight envelope protection technology built into the receiver. No programming is required. Simply change up the binding sequence as directed in the manual.
With SAFE Select enabled, you get:
Pitch and Bank Angle Limits
- These envelope limits keep the airplane from rolling or pitching upside down. They also prevent excessive climb or dive angles.
Automatic Self-Leveling
- The airplane instantly returns to and holds level flight when the sticks are released and in the center position. It's also helpful for keeping the wings level during takeoffs/launches and landings.
Easy Switch Assignment- No Programming Required
- The simple procedure for assigning a transmitter switch to turn SAFE Select features on and off doesn't require any programming and takes just a few seconds.
If you don't want to enable the SAFE Select features, just bind the receiver normally and it will function like a standard AS3X receiver.

Carbon-Z® Construction
Exclusive Carbon-Z construction allows the airframe to be chambered, significantly reducing weight while delivering rigidity comparable to all-wood construction.
Electric Retracts
The tricycle landing gear of the Carbon-Z T-28 features a steerable nose wheel and the simplicity of servoless, electric retracts. Split main gear doors and strut covers add to the scale appearance.
Operational Flaps
The operational flaps feature movement much like the full-scale T-28 and independent servos for the most reliable control possible.
Scale Details
Under the clear canopy sits a pilot figure and additional cockpit detail. The cowling features a replica radial engine and the scale-inspired trim scheme offers excellent in-flight visibility.
Powerful Motor
The potent 60-size brushless motor drives a custom 2-blade propeller and is compatible with a wide-range of 6S LiPo batteries from 3200–7000mAh (battery sold separately).
Easy Assembly
Plug-in horizontal stabilizers attach to the fuselage with a single screw. And the wing separates into two pieces for easy transport and storage.
Metal-Geared Servos
Seven metal-geared servos throughout the airframe deliver precise and reliable control.
Large Scale
The T-28 features a giant 78"/2.0m wingspan with lightweight and exceptionally strong composite-reinforced, hollow-core Carbon-Z construction

FAQ
Yes you can definitely do that.
If you order the AR636B it will be in the open-stock format with no program or model file preloaded. You can enter your own settings, or download the T-28 model file from the spektrumrc site. You'll need the SPMA3065 programming cable and a PC.
Yes the wing removes with four bolts, and is two pieces. It takes only a few minutes to remove the wing for storage or transport.
A receiver channel is not required to operate SAFE Select, and your DX8 G2 will work fine.
The SAFE Select instructions are on a separate sheet, it is under the Manuals and Support tab on this page (Slip Sheet).
